We have packaged the files in a zip file. This allows us to house multiple files in one but it requires you to unzip it to see its contents. Below is instructions and troubleshooting tips for your computer. We have included both Windows and Mac instructions below.
Windows How To & Help
Windows has an unzipping program built into it.
Instructions:
- Go to your downloads folder to find the files
- You should have a file on your computer now that is a ZIP file
- The Icon may look like the ones below depending on your version or it will have a ZIP or zipper on it
- Double click the file you downloaded, you may see an unzipping progress bar while your computer is thinking
- You should have a folder on your computer now with the contents of the zip file
- Open the folder to see your files

Mac How To & Help
Mac’s and Apples has an unzipping program built into it called the Archive Utility.
Instructions:
- Goto your downloads folder to find the files
- Double click the file you downloaded. It should look like the one one the right with a zipper on it.or…
Command button + Click (or Right click)
- Select OPEN or OPEN with and choose the ARCHIVE UTILITY or the free program below
- You should have a folder on your computer now with the contents of the zip file
- Open the folder to see your files

Troubleshooting & Tips
1. I can’t find the file? or where are my files?
Check your downloads folder, if you are unsure where your downloads folder is go to the preferences of your browser and it will tell you the location of the file.
2. I am using an older version of Microsoft Office, how do I open the new files?
If your using an older version of Microsoft Office, you simply need to install a Microsoft Office compatibility pack. After installation, restart your computer and then you should be able to read docx files using your existing Microsoft Office software
Windows How To Update
- Download the Microsoft Compatibility Pack.
- Install the software
- Restart
- Now, simply navigate to your .docx file and click it to open
If all goes well, you should be able to read the .docx file with your current Microsoft Office software
Mac How To Update Office 2004
- Download and install the Microsoft Office 2004 for Mac 11.5.0 Update Package
- Download and install the Open XML File Format Converter for Mac package
- Restart
Mac Update for Microsoft Office 2008
- Download and install the Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Update Package
- Download and install the Open XML File Format Converter for Mac package
- Restart
Mac Update for Office 2011
You should now be able to open .docx with Word 2004, 2008, 2011 and other Open XML files.
